About Neil and Rhoda

The cottages have been built on Rhoda’s family croft by Scarista Beach, which is now into the third generation of the same family. Neil was born and brought up on a croft on the Isle of Skye. When Neil sold his business, the couple embarked on building the first five-star self-catering accommodation on Lewis & Harris, and haven’t looked back since. The couple live with their two children in a house near the cottages, meaning they can be on hand quickly to help with any issues. Their aim is to ensure all guests enjoy a memorable and world-class experience. Many come to Harris to practice their Gaelic, and native speaker Rhoda is happy to oblige.

We want to ensure that all guests are catered for here. That’s why both our cottages have been built to provide category 3 assisted wheelchair access for residents. Additionally, please note that there is no smoking allowed anywhere on the premises. Furthermore, for the comfort of guests with allergies, we don’t allow pets to stay in the cottages.

The most perfect place on earth. Outstanding stunning Cottage. We stayed in Taigh Iain. Rhoda the Owner of these two amazing Cottages was Absolutely the Best Host.
